At Ferris Foundation Limited ("we", "us", or "our"), we believe that your spiritual journey is sacred. Our app, Eden: Faith & Habit Tracker, is designed to be a private sanctuary. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

2. Information We Collect

To provide the Eden experience, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Data: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
  • Habit & Progress Data: We store your daily habit completions (Body, Mind, Spirit) and the current state of your "Digital Garden" to sync your progress across devices.
  • Journaling & Reflections: Any spiritual reflections or "Growth Logs" you enter are stored securely. We do not read or analyze the content of these personal entries.
  • Technical Data: We collect basic device information (OS version, device model) and anonymized usage statistics to help us fix bugs and improve the app's performance.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information exclusively to:

  • Maintain your "Eden" garden and sync progress.
  • Provide personalized reminders for your habits.
  • Communicate essential app updates or support responses.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

4. AI Data Processing & Third Parties

To provide our core features, including AI-driven prayers, reflections, and conversational guidance, Eden utilizes OpenAI as a third-party service provider.

What Data is Shared: We only share the specific text prompts you enter into the Prayer, Reflection, or Eden AI chat interfaces.

How Data is Shared: Data is transmitted securely via encrypted API calls to OpenAI's servers.

Identity Protection: We do not share your name, email address, or any other account identifiers with OpenAI. The data sent is not linked to your personal identity.

Purpose of Use: This data is used solely to generate contextually relevant, Bible-based responses for your spiritual growth.

Third-Party Standards: OpenAI provides data protections that meet or exceed our privacy standards. You can review their data usage policies on their official website.

Consent: By using the AI-powered features in Eden, you provide explicit consent for this processing. You may withdraw consent at any time by ceasing use of these features or deleting your account.

5. Physical Habit Tracking

Eden allows you to track physical habits (such as cold exposure or breathwork) by manually logging your activities. This data is self-reported by you and is stored locally on your device and synced to your account to track your personal progress. We do not access or collect personal health or fitness data from your device sensors or third-party fitness platforms (such as Apple HealthKit or Google Fit).

6. Data Storage & Security

We use industry-standard encryption and secure cloud providers (such as Supabase/AWS) to ensure your data is protected. While no system is 100% secure, we take every reasonable precaution to guard your "Digital Sanctuary."

7. Your Rights & Data Control

As a "Steward" of your data, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the in-app settings.
  • Correction: Update your account information at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Eden is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International Data Transfers & Subprocessors

To provide the Eden sanctuary, we use specialized third-party service providers ("Subprocessors"). While Ferris Foundation Limited is based in New Zealand, your data may be processed in secure data centers located in the United States or Australia (via Supabase and Cloudflare). We ensure all subprocessors meet high standards of data protection.

Where you voluntarily submit your email address to our Android waitlist form, that submission is delivered to us through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. Your email is used solely to notify you when the Android app becomes available and is not used for any other purpose.

11. Data Retention

We retain your "Garden" and habit data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account, we will purge your personal data from our active databases within 30 days, except where required by law.

You have the right to request access to and correction of any personal information we hold about you in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
